I finally did it. I have a pattern for sale on line at Lulu
It is a pattern of beaded fingerless gloves I knit using yarn from Liisu Yarn
I knit these Glam Gloves in Cherries Jubilee, Leili yarn. This yarn was so nice to knit with I can’t wait to order more.
The “ring” is a mother-of-pearl button that a friend made for me about 12 years ago. I so happy to finally be able to use it!
The beads for the bracelets are from EarthFaire This sight has tons of different beads for sale (among other things) and lots of great inspirational projects!
Here is a close up of the bracelets. (sorry about the blurry photos)
I just love these brass hands! I got those at Storm Cloud Beads in St. Paul.
Now I’m working on a pair of socks with a beaded anklet. What fun!
The Guthries are sitting around and checking out your beautiful knitting. Grandma is considering a hat. Lee will talk with you later for more details.
Oh, Erik would love that! We have to get together soon.
Beautiful gloves. I did see them in the works at your house, but they still amaze me. Now I have to think up a way to make something like that for Erik. As he left our house yesterday he asked me to please make him some new action hero gloves because he lost his. I had made him a pair of fingerless black gloves so he could wield a light saber and look cool. There must be something fun I could do do jazz up plain black yarn to make him feel special. Any thoughts? Lightening bolt beads, etc? I haven’t hung out at any bead places so I don’t know what’s out there yet.
Hey Cheryl,
You could always knit him some wristies (fingerless gloves) in black yarn with white or silver beads in the shape of a lightening bolt around the wrist…that’d be fun. Let me know if you want some help. Shawn
